Why is the filesize limited to 1024k? This same limit was used in Assembly 1994. Back then Gravis
Ultrasound cards had this limit. Are you still supporting Gravis users or what? Today you can
use stereo 44Khz samples on trackers like Modplug that will be used here on Asm '01 for playback. Sample quality makes a big difference.
MP3 limit is 10MB which results in 7 minutes of
music on 192K though the songs will only be
played for 3.5 minutes. The point I guess is that
artists can release final versions of longer
songs to the benefit of listeners. I think 5MB to
10MB would be reasonable for multichannels
in year 2001. Just a set of 20 quality samples
easily take up 5MB. This way composers would
not have to downsample just for the competition
and could release the final tracks and not just
some sucky party-version. Please, support the
dying race of trackers and enable near MP3
quality module music for the benefit of all.

By the way, a 5MB module can be crunched
to about 3MB by using RAR multimedia packing.

Thank you.
